What We Believe

New Hope Baptist Church is a cooperating church with the Southern Baptist Convention. We believe the Bible is God's inspired and authoritative Word and seek to faithfully proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our beliefs are summarized in the Baptist Faith & Message 2000, which serves as our statement of faith. It affirms historic, evangelical Christian doctrine, including:

  • The Bible as God's inspired and trustworthy Word.
  • One God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • Salvation by God's grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.
  • The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the only hope for sinners.
  • The work of the Holy Spirit in convicting, saving, and sanctifying believers.
  • The church's mission to make disciples of all nations.
  • The future return of Jesus Christ and the promise of eternal life for all who trust Him.
